The Melanated Safari team has anxiously been awaiting our arrival and they are so eager to show you the beautiful country of Tanzania. After your grand welcome, we’ll get you all check in and feel free to peruse your new living arrangements! We’ve prepared a wonderful dinner for you at the Under the Shade Safari Lodge.

Coffee Tour

Tanzania is the 3rd largest producer of Arabica coffee in Africa. Today we’ll learn the process of harvesting and making a delectable cup of Arabica coffee, but before we head to the tour, consider the start of your wildlife experience with a Serval Wildlife starting at noon.

At Serval Wildlife, you're not just a spectator—you're part of the adventure! Get up close and personal with some of Africa's most iconic animals. Hand-feed zebras, marvel at the towering giraffes, and snap incredible photos with wildebeests, kudos, and even the mighty lion. This isn’t your typical wildlife experience—it's a chance to connect with these majestic creatures in a way you’ll never forget!

After your wildlife experience, we’ll head over to the coffee tour around 2:00PM and arrive back to our hotel at 7:30PM. Dinner is on your own.

Today’s drive to the Serengeti gives you a chance to experience Tanzania’s vibrant local communities along the way. You’ll pause at the Ngorongoro Crater viewpoint to take in the sweeping views of this incredible landscape, a perfect start to the day. Then, dive into Maasai culture with a visit to a nearby village, where you’ll get a firsthand look at their way of life. Finally, continue on to the endless plains of the Serengeti, where the real adventure begins.

Hot Air Balloon Experience  / Serengeti Game Drive

Sunrise Hot Air Balloon Experience (Optional) - $599**

You'll then soar to new heights, as you witness the sun rising, and see the Serengeti plains in dramatic fashion. It includes breakfast and a champagne toast. Following this experience, you'll rejoin the group for the day game drive.

Following the hot air balloon experience, you’ll continue on an exciting game drive throughout Serengeti National Park.

Game Drive – Lions, Elephants, and more Oh MY!

On your final full day in the Serengeti, soak up every moment surrounded by the wonders of this iconic landscape. Traverse the plains one last time as you track wildlife, savoring the sights of elephants, lions, and herds of antelope. This is a day to appreciate the vast, open skies, capture those unforgettable moments, and reflect on your journey through one of the most remarkable places on Earth. As evening approaches, take in the beauty of a Serengeti sunset, a fitting close to your adventure here.

FLY TO DAR ES SALAAM  (City of Tanzania)

Today, you'll say goodbye to the iconic Serengeti as you take a scenic flight to Dar es Salaam, Tanzania's bustling largest city and former capital. From the vast, untamed wilderness to the vibrant energy of Dar, it’s a day of transitions, offering a final look back at the Serengeti’s beauty before heading into the dynamic rhythms of urban Tanzania.
